My jaw dropped to the ground when I heard the news- THE NEW POPE IS AN AMERICAN FROM CHICAGO. Robert Francis Prevost is now Pope LEO XIV. I bet there is a party tonight in Chicago that rivals the Cubs winning the World series.
POPE LEO XIV is the first Pope ever from the United States
I'm not Catholic, but I was a fan of Pope Francis and respected his ability to speak up for others and speak out against world leaders when necessary. Like much of the world I was curious to see who his successor was going to be.
As the news of an American Pope sunk in, I thought about Pope Francis and his legacy. The way he stood up for migrants and often criticized the Trump administration.
The world is in a fragile state with wars escalating all around the globe.
THE MOST DEVISIVE AND DANDEROUS PERSON IN THE WORLD AND THE BIGGEST THREAT TO WORLD PEACE IS DONALD TRUMP.
Hats off to the cardinals for finding a bridge towards peace.
Politics aren’t working, but by appointing an American Pope that was very close to Pope Francis you now have A GLOBAL PEACEFUL PROTEST IN THE PEWS.
53 MILLION CATHOLIC AMERICANS have a spiritual leader they can look up to.
1.41 BILLION Catholics worldwide can see a bridge builder hard at work.
The two most powerful Americans in the world right now are Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV.
I do believe that Pope Leo XIV working for the big G...God, will have no problem standing up to Trumpy who only works for himself.
